PHILJOHN TECHNOLOGIES SETS UP ITS EUROPE SUBSIDIARY IN REIMS

Philjohn Technologies announces the establishment of its subsidiary Europe in Reims (Eastern France)!

Founded in 2018 in Douala, Philjohn Technologies is a Cameroonian company specializing in the development of management software for big data and ERP integration for small and medium-sized companies looking to optimize their performance.

Philjohn Technologies supports the digital transition of small and medium-sized businesses

The solutions offered by Philjohn Technologies enable their customers to consolidate different types of data and generate reliable, up-to-date activity reports and dashboards to help optimize their actions. Its clients may also benefit from outsourced services from the company if they do not have the capacity to develop these skills in-house.

With a steady growth of activity in the Cameroonian market but also internationally and particularly in the European markets, the company took the decision at the end of 2022 to set up a subsidiary in Europe.

The objective of this establishment is to support and prepare more and more companies in the digital transition and thus make the solutions developed both in Europe and in Africa better known to the African market.

Extremely involved in developing digital skills and bridging the digital divide, the company established the Philjohn Academy in Douala in 2020. The aim of this foundation is to develop the knowledge and learning of digital jobs in Cameroon through the various vocational training courses offered. More than 2,000 young Africans have already been trained in digital skills and the Philjohn Academy offers 160 scholarships each year to young talents from 18 African countries.

The choice of Eastern France

Productive exchanges with Business France Cameroun and Business France South Africa & Southern Africa enabled Philjohn Technologies to identify the potential of Eastern France for their project. A visit co-organised by Invest Eastern France and its local partner Grand Reims allowed Philjohn Technologies to discover the AI and Big Data ecosystems of the Reims region as well as several hosting options for their subsidiary.

In July 2023, the subsidiary Philijohn Tehnologies Europe will be located in the Regus business centre in Reims, close to the city centre and the TGV train station.

Among the decisive factors in the choice of the location of this European subsidiary, it was the quality of the Reims ecosystem in the field of AI and Big Data and the means put in place by Eastern France and Grand Reims to support companies in their digital transition. A philosophy that is in line with the spirit and values already defended by the company in Cameroon and throughout the African continent.

In the long term, 10 jobs will be created in Reims within the structure.
